Elderly woman pushed off platform
A 75-year old woman has been heavily injured after being pushed off a train station platform on Saturday evening in Den Haag Centraal Station. Three men have been apprehended as suspects of heavy assault, the police announce.
The three suspects were involved in an argument with a 54-year old man in the Randstadrail. One of them punched the man, after which the three ran away across the platform. The woman stood in the way, so she was pushed. She ended up on the rails.
The woman is heavily bruised and has broken several bones. The police were able to apprehend the three men in the center of The Hague with the help of eye-witness reports.
The elderly woman is still in hospital and has not yet been questioned. The 54-year old man with whom the three suspects were fighting has filed a report for assault with the police.
