UvA prof. tapped as A'dam advisor

Alexander Rinnooy Kan, appointed to honorary professor of Policy Analysis in the Private and Public Sectors at the University of Amsterdam in 2007, was appointed Amsterdam advisor by D66 political leader, Jan Paternotte.

All Amsterdam parties consented in D66 taking the lead, being the largest party in the Amsterdam city council, to the formation of a new council. The parties also consented to the appointment of Rinnooy Kan. The Professor, who never had a political function in his party, is acknowledged as a neutral interlocutor. Rinnooy Kan supplied all parties with a questionnaire that they can work on over the weekend. The negotiations will start on Monday and should be done within 10 days.
