Hundreds of tips in Els Borst murder case

Els Borst's case will be highlighted again this evening in Opsporing Verzocht. Police have 400 tips so far, but are still looking for a confused man, who showed up at Borst's door the week she was killed, and a woman in a red coat with a red headscarf, who passed the former minister's home around the time of the crime.

Former Minister Els Borst was found dead in the garage of her home on the Ruysdaellaan in Bilthoven on Monday, February 10. She was probably killed upon return home from a D66 convention in Amsterdam, the Saturday before. Police dismiss the possibility of a failed burglary attempt, because there are no signs of break-in and entry. Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen Borst on the Bilthoven train station when she was walking to her car. The walk is about a few hundred meters and through a pedestrian tunnel.
