Man tries to kill cop with nailgun
A special investigating officer from Bellingwedde filed a report with the police on Monday, claiming threat, and an attempted murder, after being confronted with a nailgun by a 55-year old man.
The man was not wounded, and the police has apprehended the suspect.
The 43-year old investigating officer entered the plot of a home on the Rhederweg in Bellingwolde. He was there to look into complaints of rubbish being burned.
On the plot, he was immediately approached aggressively by the 55-year old owner. According to the officer, the man yelled at him to go away and threatened to set him on fire.
The owner then pulled a nailgun from a shed, and shot at the officer with it. The police were called, and apprehended the resident. The special investigating officer has filed a declaration.
