Two missing in Ireland; one body recovered
Irish rescue workers found a body on their search for two men who went missing during a stroll in the Southern county of Cork, according to reports from Irish media, Monday. Initial reports mentioned two Dutch men, but one is possibly a German.
The two men, 31 and 33-years-old, notified people they were going for a walk on the peninsula, Sheep's Head, but they never returned. Authorities fear the two went for a walk along the coast during strong winds and high waves.
Coast Guard units from Castletownbere and Goleen were searching for the men with the help of helicopters. The Irish Coast Guard confirmed they found a body, but may not be able to confirm its identity until Tuesday morning, according to Nu.nl.
The two were staying at the home of the mother of one of them who lives in Ireland. They were not carrying wallets. The phone of one of the missing rings, but remains unanswered, according to media reports.
