One arrested for Rotterdam mayor threats

A 32-year-old man from Gouda was arrested Wednesday evening in a psych clinic in Assen for threatening the mayor of Rotterdam, Aboutaleb, reported police Wednesday evening. After the mayor received the threats on Tuesday evening, police took measures to keep the mayor and his family safe. The police also immediately started an investigation, that led to the psychiatric patient in a clinic in Assen. The man, originally from Gouda, is staying at the clinic by orders of the court. It is still unclear what his motives were for the threats.
