The number of aircraft movements increased with a half percent in 2013 to 426,000. Jos Nijhuis, CEO of the Schiphol Group, released these numbers Monday during the new year's reception. Nijhuis thinks the statistics are 'positive,' but emphasized the airport has to invest in the coming years to keep the competitive position. An amount of 1.5 billion euro is needed for that purpose.
