Bodyparts found not related to a crime

The human body parts that were found in Oldenzaal yesterday were not related to a crime, police have said on their website. Authorities do not say exactly how the body parts got there, but they stress that a homicide is excluded. The body parts were found Thursday morning lying about at a parking lot and alongside the German A30/A1 highway near the town of Oldenzaal. Police said they investigated together with German officers and learned later that the parts had belonged to a woman. “Police have an indication as to her identity,” the release on politie.nl said. More DNA tests will be carried out for certainty. Police say their further investigations should also teach how the body parts ended up in the parking lot and on the roadside.
