Elderly woman drives into church group
Two people were injured, one seriously, when an 82-year-old woman drove her car into a group of people leaving a church. The accident happened at approximately 8:00pm on Christmas Day in Vinkeveen, just south of Amsterdam, according to police.
One woman was run over, and is being treated in an area hospital with a hip injury. The other injured woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The driver was startled, but not hurt.
Police are calling the case accidental. They told Nos they have no evidence to suggest the woman intentionally crashed her car into the group.

The frightened witnesses were provided emotional support and legal counseling by Slachtofferhulp, a government-sponsored victim's assistance programme.
