Prosecution announces killer Wiels

The Curaçao politician Helmin Wiels was shot dead on May 5th by suspect E.K., announced the Public Prosecution (OM)during the pre-trial in Willemstad, Curaçao. The Public Prosecution announced the investigation into E.K. closed. He is also a suspect in two other murder cases on the Antillean  Island.The investigation of three other suspects is still ongoing. The mastermind behind the murder has not yet been apprehended, but the OM is making headway in its search. Hermin Wiels was murdered on a beach on May 5th, and a connection to the illegal gambling circuit was quickly made. Wikimedia commons There is already sufficient proof that the three other suspects are also connected to the murder of the politician. One of them, B.F. supposedly solicited the murder, gave instructions and paid a sum of 400,000 Antillean Guilders, according to the OM. The search for the suspects continued day and night, and will not cease until the case is solved, stated the prosecutor. The lawsuit is executed under heavy security, including officers wearing balaclavas and body armor in the courtroom. The substantive proceedings begin on May 21 in Willemstad.
