It's the fourth time that the Culture Fashion Scholarship is awarded. An anonymous benefactor makes funds available. With the reward the Prins Bernhard Culture Fund aims to aid talented designers financially. The award goes to a designer that excels in artistic quality and craftsmanship. In addition, the designer should be a standard-bearer for Dutch fashion, with an international fashion-DNA. Last year the stipend went to the sisters Spijkers and Spijkers. Before that, Ilja Visser and Francisco Benthum were awarded the financial stimulus.
