Wikipedia.org The City of Amsterdam saves on costs this way. It is no longer necessary to place a parking ticket under the windshield in Amsterdam. The motorist inserts the license plate in the parking computer. Parking permits have also been digitalized. 'Amsterdam is the first Dutch city where parking has been 100 percent digitalized,' writes Cition in a press release. There's a lot of interest from abroad for the digital parking system in Amsterdam. Parking companies from Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, and Norway have visited the Netherlands in the past year to view the parking system in Amsterdam from up close.
