Robber beats bus driver unconscious in Haarlem

A bus driver for Connexxion was beaten unconscious Friday during a robbery, which took place at the bus station Spaarnwoude in Haarlem, announced the police.The driver returned from his route with line 80 from Amsterdam to Haarlem. A colleague, who also returned, saw bus 80 unattended, upon his arrival at the shelter for bus drivers. The victim was lying next to the bus, unconscious. The driver's money bag had been opened. Wikimedia commons With the help of the colleague the victim was able to regain consciousness, but was very shaken, according to the police. How much money was stolen, is still unknown. Police are looking for witnesses. The attack probably took place between 20:30 and 21:00.
