Russia releases last Arctic 30 member

On Thursday, Australian Greenpeace activist Colin Russell was released by a Russian court in St. Petersburg on bail, Sydney Morning Herald reports. Colin Russell / Greenpeace International Russell was the last of 30 activists who were arrested in September by Russia for protesting against oil drilling in the Arctic. Russell, a ship's radio operator, spent 70 days behind bars. Russia released 29 other activists earlier on bail. They remain in St. Petersburg with bail conditions that do not allow them to the leave the country.
