The two parties have signed an agreement to promote Dutch and Norwegian documentaries internationally.
Under the agreement, announced at IDFA in Amsterdam, a total of six new feature documentaries will be supported between 2014 and 2016. They will consist of three minority Dutch and three minority Norwegian co-productions.
"We want to stimulate filmmakers from both countries to seek theatrical release of their films. The Netherlands Film Fund has recently modified its regulations to enable this. Their effort is required to reach maximum audiences theatrically, on TV and beyond," Netherlands Film Fund CEO Doreen Boonekamp said.
