Daughter deceased woman turns up
The woman whose death in her Rotterdam home went unnoticed for a decade, had a daughter. Twenty years ago, the 68-year-old daughter talked to her mother for the last time, stated the daughter to Algemeen Dagblad.
The deceased woman was 16 years old when she had a daughter in the Dutch East Indies, at the time of the police actions. The woman was traumatized by the war. The daughter was never able to find out who her father was.
Even though the daughter never felt wanted, she had in the past tried to get closer to her mother. A few years ago she took her mother flowers on Mother's Day, but was left standing on the doorstep. Now it turns out her mother was already deceased.
She fully expected an officer to show up on her doorstep one day to inform her of her mother's death. She even anticipated her only parent being found dead after a few months, but was shocked to find out her mother has been dead for ten years.
