Members of Dutch riot police unit displayed unprofessional conduct after the match between Fortuna Sittard and MVV October, concludes a study commissioned by the mayor, the police and the Public Prosecution. On October 4, there were riots after the soccer game in Sittard. Two 12-year-old girls were injured and five people were arrested. mobiele eenheid riotcops

They used abusive language toward the crowd and used their batons to poke and hit at times when that was not asked. There will be a follow-up investigation into the events surrounding the match. Not only will the role of the police be examined, but also the role of the City, of Fortuna Sittard, and of the supporters.
