Passenger opens emergency door aircraft

The military police at Schiphol arrested a 25-year old man from Jakarta after he opened the emergency exit of an aircraft for no apparent reason.The plane was on its way to Asia and had just left the gate when the man opened the door, activating the emergency slide in the process. Wikimedia commons The police were able to apprehend the man on board. He has so far not given an explanation as to why he opened the emergency exit. After an examination by the aviation police, the aircraft finally departed, with a one hour delay and without the suspect. The airline filed a report. The man is suspected of vandalism and damage to the airplane.
