Ploumen To Kenya

Minister Lilianne Ploumen of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, will visit Kenya this week. The trade mission to Kenya is seen as a good example how development aid can be changed by trade. The focus of this weeks trade mission which will last from Monday till Thursday, will be on infrastructure and agriculture. Together with the minister 25 Dutch companies will join the trip. They will visit, among other things, the harbor in Mombasa, where a new container terminal will be built, and a flower growing project. Ploumen will also have a meeting this week with her Kenyan colleagues to discuss how to reduce obstacles on the way for trading between the EU and Kenya.
