Ferry can not enter port IJmuiden

Ferry operator DFDS Seaways unsuccessfully tried to enter the port of IJmuiden . The ship back sailed to the open sea there to wait for the storm to pass.The ferry was using three tugs entering the harbor when the wind was rising. The captain decided to abandon the attempt and sail back out. The ship has 1,050 passengers on board. They will have to wait till at least 15:00h before making another attempt, according to a spokesperson. ferry Ijmuiden

Flickr In the 25 years of the spokesperson's employ it happened only 2 or 3 times before a ship could not enter the harbor. The entire country is affected by the storm and reports come from all over. This morning most of the damage reports came from Central and West Brabant, and Rotterdam Rijnmond
