Dutch Universities Hold 3rd in Times Rankings
Netherlands universities have made tremendous improvement in the 2013/2014 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
In this year’s rankings, a total of 12 Dutch research institutions reached the top 200 level and eight of them have made into the top 100, compared to seven universities reached the top 100 level in the 2012 ranking, according to Times Higher Education.

Netherlands became third worldwide, following the United States and the United Kingdom. Netherlands scored 650.25 points and became the leading academic higher education in continental Europe.
Germany and France followed the Netherlands with 538.8 and 410 points, respectively. Top National Universities Leiden University was ranked 67th and maintained its status as the leading Dutch university. Delft University of Technology ranked 69th in this year’s rankings and became second best nationally.
