Netherlands fourth best country for elderly

Netherlands ranks fourth in countries where life is good for the elderly. The elderly in Sweden take first place, followed by Norway and Germany. On the 91st place, and last, is Afghanistan. The study considered income, health, employment and training opportunities, and the extent to which the environment accommodates the elderly. Old_marriage_at_Plac_Kaszubski

Rich countries do not seem to necessarily accommodate elderly better than poorer countries. For example, Belgium is on the 24th place. The rapid economic growth of some countries does not always have a positive effect on the quality of life of older people. Brazil and China are still relatively high on the list (31st and 35th), but India and Russia score much worse. They rank 73 and 78. Worldwide there are now nearly 900 million people over sixty years. By 2050, that number will increase to more than two billion elderly. The release date of October 1st is the day that has been declared International Day of the elderly by the UN.
