Maeslant barrier ready for storm season

The test closure of the Maeslant and Hartel barriers went well.The barriers are ready for the storm season, announced Rijkswaterstaat on Sunday. If the water level rises more than three meters above sea level, the Maeslant barrier will be closed. The huge doors of the Maeslant barrier began sailing out on Saturday at 15.50 hours.
