baseline officials possibly eased

The baseline for officials may be eased, but then there will be cuts in benefits. This is in the plans that will be presented by the government on Budget Day, according to reports from sources to RTL News.Raises can be re-instated in return for cuts in travel expenses. The easing of the baseline should be arranged through the unions to keep them involved in the measure. The baseline for officials is a hot issue for the unions. In healthcare it's already deleted from the care agreement and in education there is also room for an increase in pay. Abvakabo Abvakabo FNV union does not agree with a wage that officials pay out of their own pocket. In the social agreement the FNV agreed with employers and the government the baseline model is off the table. A deal is a deal, says Corrie van Brenk, union leader.
