América Móvil talks with union KPN

Representatives of the Mexican América Móvil (AMX) meet Wednesday, for the first time, with the various unions of KPN on the future of the telecommunications company after any acquisition. It's an introductory interview, but we want to know how the Mexicans view KPN, says Joost van Herpen, director of Abvakabo FNV. Van Herpen has many questions he would like to see answered. Hoofdkantoor_KPN_Den_Haag,

What are the consequences for the staff? These questions need clear answers, and we need well established arrangements, says the Abvakabo official. América Móvil will also pay a visit to Minister Henk Kamp from Economic Affairs this Wednesday. Kamp wants to know what Carlos Slim from AMX plans to do with KPN. The Minister plans to clarify the importance of KPN to The Netherlands. América Móvil reported Monday that it aims to preserve the identity and brand of KPN after a takeover. Also, KPN Headquarters remains in The Hague. If AMX acquires no more than 95 percent of the shares ,KPN also retains stock market listing.
