Arnhem stops unlimited drinking
Night club The Level stops their promotion to serve youth unlimited drinks for a fixed price. The municipality of Arnhem warned the night club they will strictly enforce the licensing and catering act. In case of violation the liquor license may me revoked. This threat was enough to end the promotion.

This past month the club served youth unlimited drinks for a fixed price; Euro 15 for men and Euro 12.50 for women. The night club tried to increase its turnover with this promotion.
From January 1st the minimum age for alcohol consumption will go up from 16 to 18 years. The night club fears its revenue will drop by much.
STAP, the Dutch Institution for alcohol policy did not approve of the club's actions. It only provokes obsessive drinking. The branch organization Koninklijke Horeca Nederland also disapproved of the club's actions.
