Six Premier League Players Join NL Squad

Premier league players Marco van Ginkel, Michel Vorm, Ron Vlaar, Jonathan de Guzman, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, and Robin van Persie may well play Portugal a few days ahead of the latest season. Van Gaal’s group already omitted Fulham goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and Everton defender John Heitinga. Tim Krul of Newcastle has been pulled out because of health concerns. Meanwhile, Augsburg defender Paul Verhaegh will take part in the international for the first time and will possibly be introduced with the Oranje on August 14. Youth players Adam Maher and Tonny Vilhena were already asked to participate. Ex-captain Wesley Sneijder has already been left out due to injury problems.
