NL Can Win World Cup, Van Bronckhorst Says

Giovanni van Bronckhorst is positive that the Netherlands can bring home the World Cup title next year. The former Netherlands defender voiced out his trust on the Oranje's ability to win the World Cup 2014 and redeem themselves following their loss four years ago in South Africa. The Dutch team, defeated finalists to Spain three years ago, has gathered their most points to date from their qualifying matches. Louis van Gaal's team is proud of their six wins in Group D. He told Fifa.com, "[Netherlands] are well on their way to getting to Brazil and it's good for the team to be involved again in the World Cup.” "It's going to be hard, playing Brazil and Spain - especially with Brazil having home advantage - but Netherlands are definitely one of the teams who can win it. "But I think there are eight teams who can win the World Cup. It's just a matter of having a bit of luck on the day. Holland always have a chance but we have to see how the form is,” he added.
