Netherlands Faced Northern Ireland
Netherlands won against Northern Ireland (3-0) in a friendly match held in Velsen. The Dutch team are getting ready for UEFA Women's EURO 2013 in Sweden.
Chantal de Ridder, Marlous Pieëte and Desiree van Lunteren were the players of the game, each scoring a goal for the squad.
Northern Ireland’s defense proved strong for the Dutch team, leaving Coach Roger Reijners with no choice but to order his major players to take their break.
Merel van Dongen’s substitute Chantal de Ridder managed to score during the second half while Marlous Pieëte achieved another one in a near range.
The Orange Lionesses ended the game in victory when Desiree van Lunteren finished a late goal.
In the start of their final campaign, the Netherlands will face Germany next Thursday in Vaxjo.
