Virgil van Dijk's Possible Celtic move

21-year-old Virgil van Dijk, said he is eager to sign with the Scottish Premier League champions Celtic. Virgil van Dijk during Groninge training in 2012

The Dutch player has been a favorite of Premier League clubs like Everton, Newcastle United, and Cardiff City. However, the Celtic seems like the perfect match for Van Dijk as he already proclaimed his respect for the club. "Celtic is a fantastic club and a step up for me. I have to wait until the clubs agree,” the centre-back told De Telegraaf. The move to Celtic is an opportunity for him to showcase his skills and impress Netherlands’s Senior Coach Louis van Gaal, in preparation for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
