Bank Assistance Questioned

Homeowners with mortgage problems can report their complaints about banks to Vereniging Eigen Huis (VEH), a homeowners' association. Banks say that they assist people who have mortgage payment issues with advice and actions, but VEH doubts that it really happens. “Do bank advisors really help people by thinking about solutions or do they send reminders first and propose an appointment only when customers have bills that are already overdue?” According to RTL.nl, homeowners can report their experiences to VEH at least until the end of this year. The association will speak to the banks when needed.
