70 Cars Towed in Amsterdam
Because of the inauguration, particularly the preparations for it, 70 cars have been towed in recent days in Amsterdam. The 70 cars were parked on streets that will be closed during the inauguration on Tuesday. This was disclosed by a spokesperson of the Department for City Surveillance on Monday.
The cars were mostly moved to a parking lot of the department at the Daniel Goedkoopstraat in Amsterdam-Oost. Their owners do not have to pay towing fees since they had already parked their car before the signs were placed.
In the attempt to make the inauguration run smoothly, the city of Amsterdam previously removed 600 bicycles in the center.
