Train Wifi Continues

Travelers can use the free Internet in trains for another year. The Dutch Railways, Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS), has extended its contract for wifi in intercity trains with provider T-Mobile by another year. Intercity trains has had wifi services since 2010 when the NS received funding of 15 million euro from former Minister of Transport and Water Management Eurlings. The trains for shorter distances, sprinters, do not have wifi because of the limited time people spend in them. According to RTL.nl, three hundred trains have wifi. NS have also announced that it wants to install wifi in the larger train stations.
