The Public Prosecutor calculated that Noord-Brabant coffeeshop chain The Grass Company's illegal turnover amounted to over 20 million euros. The Prosecutor wants the company to pay that entire amount back, the company's lawyer Sidney Smeets confirmed to ANP after reports in Brabants Dagblad. 

The Public Prosecutor confirmed that a confiscation procedure has been initiated, but would not say anything about the amount involved, according to the news wire.

Little will change around illegal cannabis cultivation, even if the government changes the current tolerance policy, according to officials from the Ministries of Public Health and Security and Justice. The Dutch government is considering three scenarios: regulating both cannabis sales and cultivation, extending the tolerance policy to include growers, or a total ban on both growing and selling weed, NU.nl reports.

The D66 submitted a proposal that will allow nurseries to grow cannabis under the control of the government. It seems the proposal will be able to count on a majority vote in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of parliament

The Amsterdam municipality is allowed to order coffeeshops in a 25 meter radius around schools to be closed during the day on weekdays or to relocate, the court in the city ruled on Friday.

The court in Groningen tolerated the production of cannabis for the first time. Two weed growers from Bierum were found guilty of cannabis cultivation, but no punishment was imposed.
