The Netherlands committed 29 million euros to She Decides for 2017 and 2018. The Dutch contribution to the now international movement, launched by former Dutch minister Lilianne Ploumen last year, gives over a million women in Ethiopia, Yemen, Mali, Bangladesh, Mozambique and other developing countries access to family planing.

The Netherlands’ economic contribution for development cooperation has been labelled an embarrassment by Oxfam Novib according to a calculation done by the organization. The calculation has revealed that the Netherlands is no longer meeting the UN’s spending target, 0.7 percent of the country’s GDP, for poverty reduction, the Volkskrant reported on Thursday.

Finance Minister and Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Lillianne Ploumen, and Minister for Health, Welfare and Sport Edith Schippers will also attend the forum in Davos.
