Residents of the Utrecht town of Overberg have a novel idea on how to stop speeding. Instead of using speed bumps or cameras, they want to use live animals. This is already done in a small scale by local farmer Gerry. Her neighbor now wants to expand it, RTL Nieuws reports.
Kees Herweijer was driving his Toyota Auris wagon up the N214 in Wijngaarden, Zuid-Holland at 80 kilometers per hour when he spotted two ducks suddenly attempt to cross the road right in front of him. Realizing it would be possible to at least save one of the two ducks, he hit the brakes and swerved.
