State Secretary Fred Teeven and the Ministry of Justice have been determined too strict in their policy around the child pardon regulations. The court in The Hague decided yesterday that it is unjust to deny a child asylum if the child has not been visible to the Realm, but only to the municipality.
The asylum seekers' center in Budel, Brabant, is filling up fast. The Nassau Dietzkazerne barracks has a maximum capacity of 1200 people. At the moment, more than 1100 refugees live there, meaning the center administrators have to look for a new location to accommodate the overflow.
