Four suspects turned themselves in to police Monday in connection with the assault of a security guard in Nijmegen last week during the Vierdaagse walking event. The victim suffered serious injuries and was treated by ambulance personnel. Police are still seeking two other suspects.
The security guard was beaten and kicked around 4:45 a.m. on July 22 at the bicycle parking garage on Stationsplein in Nijmegen, Omroep Gelderland reports. He was also robbed of his phone and cash.
Police released blurred surveillance images of four suspects over the weekend. After that, on Monday morning, two underage boys reported to police.
