Breda man arrested after groping women, urinating in front of police, and vandalism

A Breda man was arrested Saturday evening on charges of public indecency, vandalism, and assault on a police officer after urinating in front of officers, groping women, overturning signs, and damaging trash bins during the city’s Carnival celebrations.

According to Omroep Brabant, police responded around 6:45 p.m. and issued the man a dispersal order, walking him partway out of the city. Witnesses said he suddenly stopped in the middle of the street, lowered his pants, and began urinating. Officers arrested him on charges of public indecency.

During transport in a police van to the detention center, the man again urinated inside the vehicle. Police have filed a report for vandalism, and a specialized cleaning company is scheduled to decontaminate the van.

Once at the detention facility, two officers escorted the man to his cell, during which he bit one officer on the hand. Authorities said the man’s residence is unknown, and he remains in custody. Police planned further questioning for Sunday and will also interview witnesses who came forward on Saturday.
