Police issue missing child alert for 15-year-old girl missing in Tilburg
Update 10:40 a.m. - the missing child was found safe, the police reported on Thursday
The police issued a missing child alert for a 15-year-old girl from Tilburg. Fatma ran away from home on Monday and, despite extensive efforts, the police have not been able to find her and bring her home.
Fatma is about 1.6 meters tall and slender. She has a nose piercing and was wearing a black top, light blue sweatpants, and flip-flops when she left her home on Monday, November 24. She had a green backpack with her.
The police believe Fatma is still in the Tilburg area and asked locals to keep an eye out for her. “Her family and we are very concerned because there’s a chance she could fall into the wrong hands or harm herself,” the police said.
The police website initially listed Fatma’s missing child notification as an Amber Alert, but the police retracted that. The police only issue an Amber Alert when they have reason to think a missing child’s life is in danger, and that is not currently the case with Fatma.
