Amsterdam headquarters of Doctors Without Borders vandalized with paint

The headquarters of Doctors Without Borders on Plantage Middenlaan in Amsterdam was vandalized early Saturday morning, authorities reported. According to Het Parool, the building’s facade, entrance door, and sidewalk were smeared with white and blue paint.

The vandals also defaced a banner hanging on the building, which had been present for quite some time. The banner states the message, “End the genocide now.”

Police have launched an investigation and are conducting forensic searches at the scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. They are asking anyone with relevant information or usable surveillance footage to come forward.

In a statement, Doctors Without Borders expressed regret over the incident. The organization confirmed that a formal complaint has been filed with police.

“The situation in Gaza evokes many emotions, but vandalism is never acceptable,” the organization said.
