Sixth arrest made in connection with death of singer S10’s twin brother
A 24-year-old man from Zwaag has become the sixth person arrested in connection with the death of singer S10’s twin brother, Emiel den Hollander. Emiel was found on the roof of a garage on the Osdorper Ban in Amsterdam in April and remained in a coma for months before passing away on June 19.
Reports indicate that he had been held against his will in an apartment in Osdorp, and prosecutors have stated that he may have jumped from the fourth floor or fallen from the balcony.
The man from Zwaag is suspected of manslaughter and unlawful detention leading to death. He is currently in restrictive custody, allowing contact only with his lawyer, and the police have not released any further details. The most recent arrest involved a 35-year-old man from Rotterdam, who is also suspected of manslaughter and unlawful detention.
Two other suspects from Hoorn have remained in custody since their arrests, as preliminary hearings continue at the court in Haarlem. One of the suspects, Richie F., pleaded his innocence in court last Monday, stating, "I had nothing to do with the hostage situation and nothing to do with his death. I am innocent."
Emiel sustained severe injuries during the incident, including brain damage, a broken neck, ribs, hip, shoulder blades, and a punctured lung. Prosecutors have suggested that he may have jumped because he “saw no other way out,” but they are continuing to investigate the circumstances of his fall.
The victim’s mother told De Telegraaf months ago that Emiel had been involved in the criminal underworld since the age of 12, and she believes the incident was likely linked to a criminal conflict. S10 has not publicly commented on her brother’s death.
