Hundreds gather in Amsterdam for second “No Tyrants” protest

Several hundred people gathered at Museumplein on Saturday for the second “No Tyrants” protest in Amsterdam, demonstrating in solidarity with anti-Trump rallies across the United States.

The protest took place outside the U.S. consulate amid a U.S. government shutdown and reports of federal troops and ICE agents deployed in American cities.

Demonstrators chanted slogans opposing autocracy and authoritarianism, and several brought dogs wearing signs, such as "I pee on fascists."

Most participants in Amsterdam were reportedly American expats, but Dutch citizens also joined. The protest occurred less than two weeks before national elections in the Netherlands, where right-wing parties have gained prominence.
