Driver arrested after short chase near Breda; Car seized over multiple violations

Dutch traffic police arrested a driver Friday night following a short pursuit on the A16 highway near Breda, according to Omroep Brabant. Police found the driver committed six violations, including a suspended license, lack of identification, two bald tires, faulty brakes, ignoring a stop signal, and driving over a gore area.

The incident began when police signaled a driver to stop for a suspended license. The driver initially fled but eventually pulled over onto the shoulder of the A16.

“The driver had a suspended license, could not provide identification, and the vehicle had two bald tires and faulty brakes,” police said. “In addition, the driver ignored a stop signal and drove over a gore area.”

Because this was not the first offense, the vehicle was impounded, police confirmed.
