Feyenoord fan beaten up in Amsterdam, left with brain hemorrhage; Police seek witnesses

Two men beat up and seriously injured a 30-year-old man on Museumplein in Amsterdam in May, leaving him on the street with a brain hemorrhage and a broken eye socket. The police believe the victim was targeted because he was wearing a Feyenoord shirt.

The assault occurred on Sunday, May 11. On that day, Ajax played against NEC in Amsterdam, and Feyenoord played against PSV in Rotterdam.

According ot the police, the victim was unsuspectingly walking out of a supermarket on Museumplein when two men ran up to him. One grabbed the victim and threw him hard to the ground. “The man landed very badly and suffered a brain hemorrhage and a broken eye socket,” the police said.

The police released footage of the assault, asking the public to help identify the perpetrators and for witnesses to come forward.
