Dutch investor Main Capital makes largest software acquisition in over €200 million deal
The Hague-based investment firm Main Capital has acquired a significant majority stake in software companies CarWise and AutoDisk, in a deal valuing the two firms at over 200 million euros. According to Het Financieele Dagblad (FD), this marks Main Capital’s largest acquisition in the Netherlands to date.
CarWise, headquartered in Almere, and AutoDisk, based in Haarlem, have collaborated closely for more than 30 years while remaining independent entities. Both specialize in software solutions for leasing companies and car rental businesses, offering a unified online platform that streamlines processes such as quotes, fleet management, and invoicing.
Sjoerd Aarts, managing partner at Main Capital, told FD that he expects the two companies to merge after the acquisition. Combined, CarWise and AutoDisk generate nearly 30 million euros in annual revenue.
Their customer portfolio includes roughly 370 clients, among them major automotive dealer Van Mossel and lease company Friesland Lease.
