Driver caught for 20th time behind the wheel without license, suspected of cocaine use
A 32-year-old man from Bergen op Zoom was arrested early Sunday morning for the 20th time for driving without a license, and he is also suspected of being under the influence of cocaine. The arrest occurred around 1:50 a.m. on De Boulevard Noord in the man's hometown.
Police stopped the driver and found that he had already been caught driving without a license 19 times over the past seven years.
During the stop, the driver passed the alcohol test, but a saliva test indicated that he was likely under the influence of cocaine.
The owner of the vehicle, who was sitting next to the driver at the time, had to surrender the car. Authorities had warned her of the consequences if the driver was caught again.
