37-year-old man arrested for sexually assaulting a pony in Amstelveen
On Thursday, the police arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of fornication with a pony in a meadow on the Amsteldijk-Zuid in Amstelveen, AT5 reports. The man is said to have sexually abused the pony several times.
The owner of the pony had found the animal in suspicious circumstances at the beginning of October and alerted the animal police. During the investigation, camera footage caught the suspect and eventually led to his arrest last Thursday. The police also found evidence that is currently being analyzed.
The pony's owner also asked local residents via the NextDoor platform to keep an eye out for a man suspected of abusing her pony. "Last night at 01.22 a.m. a 'sick' person sexually abused my pregnant Shetland pony. You could say raped him," she wrote on the platform. She also published a photo of the suspect, AT5 reports.
The man is currently in custody and will soon be charged.
