Suspected Amsterdam minor linked to Hoogkarspel rape

The suspect who was urgently wanted by the Amsterdam police on Friday evening for serious crimes, is a minor boy. He is suspected of serious crimes in Amsterdam and Hoogkarspel. Two of those crimes were committed in Amsterdam, and one in Hoogkarspel. The boy was arrested in the night from Friday to Saturday, after the police had posted images of him on social media. He was recognized shortly afterwards.

According to sources of De Telegraaf, the case on the Noordervoert in Hoogkarspel involves a woman who was dragged into a bush and raped on September 20 at around 5 p.m. The young perpetrator is said to have disappeared shortly afterwards on his bicycle in an unknown direction.

The perpetrator is said to be a young, dark-skinned man with dark, curly hair. According to the newspaper, he was also wearing white outerwear and earrings (stones) in both ears at the time.

The police have now revealed that this suspect was also involved in sexual offenses in Amsterdam. However, the police did not want to share any information about the boy's identity, as he is still a minor. "We can say no more than that these are serious crimes," said a spokesman for the Amsterdam police.

The boy is currently in custody and was questioned by the police on Saturday. The public prosecutor's office will decide at a later date whether the boy should be brought before the examining magistrate.
