Exercising is easier with the right gym bag
Research shows that people are taking better care of their body’s, and that's a good thing. Maybe this sports-filled summer will inspire us even more to put on our running shoes or get our bikes out of the garage and take us to the park for a nice workout. Watch sports, play sports! What also helps to get you of that couch: a nice sports outfit and a good sports bag. The latter must meet a number of criteria to fit that description. Which criteria you ask? A good gym bag is easy to carry
This criteria actually applies to all bags, but especially to gym bags. A sports bag is worn a great deal and above all it should be comfortable. A sporty handbag is a great option if it has good handles. It is even more convenient if a long shoulder strap is also included. This gives you the option to wear the bag over your shoulder or as a crossbody tas, which frees up your hands to hold other things, like a healthy smoothie or a fruit drink. Another option is the backpack. This type of sports bag is often used because it’s an easy way to carry your gym clothes when you’re riding a bike to your workout. There are many brands that offer beautiful sporty backpacks.
A sports bag is made with sturdy material
A sports bag must be extra strong and able to take a beating. Because more often than not it is not handled gently and everything is just crammed in. Tassen, the Dutch word for bags, are thrown from one place to another and get thrown in the grass, in changing rooms, canteens and on the back of bicycles. In this case, choose materials such as leather, eco-leather, polyester or PolyUrethane (PU). These materials are not easily damaged, and when they are, a few nicks and scratches only makes them look better and more authentic. With gym bags it’s mainly about functionality, but don't forget the durability of a bag. You want the bag to last a long time. Leather is sustainable if you choose good quality leather, but bags made from recycled PET bottles are also sustainable and environmentally friendly.
A sports bag is waterproof
Especially when you ride your bike to your gym or sports club, it can be a good idea to choose a water resistant gym bag, so that it can withstand some moisture and a bit of rain. Want to take it a step further? Then there is the waterproof bag, which can withstand a real downpour. When your bag is along the side lines when you’re playing a game of football in the pouring rain, it’s very nice when your belongings are safely stored and stay dry in wet and rainy conditions. So before buying your perfect gym bag, check if it’s labeled as water resistant or waterproof.
A good sports bag has different compartments
A sports bag contains enough space to hold all of your belongings, preferably by means of different compartments, both large and small. The perfect sports bag has a separate compartment for dirty sports shoes or damp clothing. But a separate smaller compartment for keys and a smartphone also comes in very handy and ensures that your belongings stay dry and clean. Compartments that can be closed up with a zipper or Velcro are the most useful.
